Should I migrate from Bluebirds

Bluebirds is prospecting. Do not create a second Lead for a person you already have. This page states no conversion rate.

An enterprise meeting in a glass-walled conference room.Platform & Architecture

A sales manager opens a board pack and finds a blank cell labelled conversion lift. Someone asks what figure to type, because the brief mentioned a migration from Bluebirds. There is no figure on this page. A rate from another company's pipeline is not yours. Their sources, their sellers, and their willingness to disqualify are not your operating system. Bluebirds is prospecting. The work you can decide is who may become a Lead, from which sources, and what happens when the person is already in the org.

The only sentence this page quotes from the announcement is the completion line. "Salesforce completed its acquisition of Bluebirds on August 13, 2025." Planned placement with Sales Cloud is not a screen this page has seen. Do not scope from a button nobody can open.

Should you migrate

Migrate the create-rule, not a promise of pipeline. Write the sources you allow. A provider you already pay. A list counsel has cleared. A signal the team can explain in one sentence. Write the sources you forbid. Bought lists you have not reviewed. Anything scraped against terms you have not read. Personal data your region does not let you use for this purpose. The deny list is the scope.

Do not migrate because the acquisition completed on 13 August 2025. The cited page does not publish a shutdown date, and it does not publish a conversion rate. Leave the cell blank until your own pipeline has a before and an after you measured. Until then, a migration that exists to fill that cell is a migration you should not start.

Do not create a second Lead

A person you already have is a Contact on an Account, or a Lead a seller already owns. Creating another Lead for that person so a new source can show a win is how the org fills with twins. The seller calls a stranger by a customer's name, or calls the customer twice. Neither is a migration success.

Match, or send the item to a review queue with a named owner. Do not create. If you cannot staff the maybes, choose a stricter match and accept that some new people will wait. Waiting is cheaper than a duplicate you must merge in a month. An automatic create that backfills blanks with guesses is how bad data becomes everyone's problem.

What the software is now

Salesforce owns Bluebirds. The completion date is 13 August 2025. What the software is now is prospecting aimed at Sales Cloud. It is not a measured conversion rate, and it is not a screen this page will draw. The cited page does not publish a price. Sales Cloud, if you have it, is the place Leads and Contacts already live. A suggestion and a write are different acts. An agent may draft a reason. A seller, or a rule you have signed, decides the create. "Help the seller prospect" is not permission to insert records all weekend.

The three pages

This page answers whether you should migrate, what the software is now, how a prospect compares with a native Lead and Contact, and which alternatives sit unranked.

The implementation page is Bluebirds prospecting. Use it for allowed sources, the dedupe rule, and who may create a Lead. The what-happened page is What happened to Bluebirds. Use it for ownership, the date, the blank price, and the absent end date. The integration page is Integrating Bluebirds with Salesforce. Use it when a source may write, and when it must match instead. Do not ask any of them for a conversion rate.

Versus the Lead and the Contact you already store

A Lead already stores a person or a company you have not qualified. It holds a name, a company, a status, an owner, and a source. A seller works it. Converting a Lead can create an Account, a Contact, and, if you choose, an Opportunity. That conversion is a decision with a result you can see. A Contact already stores a person related to an Account you know. Activities already log calls and emails against that Contact or Lead. Duplicate rules, if you have set them, already warn or block a second record that matches a rule you chose. Those are the native objects. They already answer who this person is in your org, and whether you are allowed to add them again.

Only after that description does a comparison count. Bluebirds is a way of proposing people you might not have. It does not replace the Lead, and it does not sit beside the Contact as a second person. Migrating prospecting means teaching the source to match what you already store. It does not mean creating a second Lead for a person you already have. If the match is unsure, the native place to wait is a queue a person reviews, not a new Lead with the gaps filled in.

Territory and opt-out are part of the same native behaviour. A Lead has an owner. A do-not-contact flag, if you store one, is already a reason not to create. Test the skip with a record you know should be skipped. If the pilot cannot show the skip, it is not ready for a seller, and it is not a migration you should widen.

What you must not move

Do not migrate a spreadsheet of names into Leads without the match. Do not invent a conversion rate to justify the load. Do not let a weekend job create records nobody recognises on Monday. Minimum fields before a Lead exists: name, a way to contact them that you are allowed to use, the source, the reason, and the owner. If a field is missing, the item stays in review.

Cadences you already pay for are a neighbour. This migration does not replace them by accident. If a new person should enter a cadence, name it and name who owns the words. If not, the Lead waits for a seller. Automatic email from a new source is a brand decision. Put it in the brief or keep it out.

Alternatives, without a rank

People search for alternatives after the acquisition, and for an alternative on AppExchange. This page has not been shown an AppExchange listing. It will not invent a listing, a rating, or a rank, and it will not invent a conversion rate to sort them.

One way is to keep the Lead process your sellers already run, with the sources you already trust. Another way is to allow one new source under a written match rule, with review for the maybes. Another way is to keep prospecting in a tool you still operate and integrate only the records a person has accepted. Another way is to evaluate a different prospecting tool on your own criteria.

None of these is placed first. The gate is the duplicate. If the design creates a second Lead for a person you have, it fails, whatever the logo.

A walkthrough you can finish on paper

Write three examples. A person who is already a Contact. A person who is already a Lead. A person who is in neither. Write what happens in each case. The first two match or wait. Only the third may create, and only with the minimum fields. Write the denied sources. Write who owns the review queue. Write that the conversion cell is blank on purpose. Stop if any of the three examples is missing.

Take the rule to the implementation page. Leave price and shutdown on the what-happened page. Take the match-versus-create failure to the integration page. If a proposal contains a percentage, cross it out.

The first sample

Have sellers read a sample, not a dashboard of new Leads. How many were already known. How many were opted out and correctly skipped. How many a seller would actually work. A high create count with a low recognition rate is the migration failing. Stop the create. Fix the match. Do not add a source to rescue the count.

A pack goes wrong when the blank conversion cell is filled from a webinar, the dedupe rule is "the tool will know", and a quarter is set to turn the old list off. Strip it back. Sources. Match. No second Lead. No rate. No price. No end date. No screen.

Ownership, opt-out, and the sample

Territory comes before volume. Who receives a Lead that is truly new. What happens when two territories match. What happens when none do. A round robin that ignores the rule you already use for inbound leads will be resented as unfair and priced as simple. Write the rule you have. Say whether this source follows it. A new rule needs a sales manager's name, not a default from a partner.

Opt-out sits in the path. If your org stores a do-not-contact flag, the create must read it. A person who has opted out is not a Lead with a careful sentence. They are a skip. Put a known opt-out in the sample the sellers read. If that record becomes a Lead, the migration has failed its smallest test. Fix the skip before you discuss volume.

The sample itself is the cost people forget. A seller has to look at records and say whether they were already known. An operations lead has to count how many maybes the review queue can hold in a week. If nobody can read the sample, do not design a create that needs hundreds of reviews. Shrink the source. A migration that cannot be checked by the people who own the Leads is a migration that will create the second Lead this page forbids, and it will do it in a batch.

Write the match on three real rows from your org, with names removed if policy requires it. Same email. Same person on the same account. A fuzzy maybe. Show what the migration will do with each. If the partner cannot restate the three outcomes without using the word conversion, they are not ready to connect a source. The outcomes are match, wait, or create. Create is allowed only for the person who is not already there. Say that sentence in the steering pack, in place of the rate you were asked to type.

Bring the table to the meeting. If the person-you-have row creates a Lead, do not migrate. The implementation page can price a create-rule. It cannot price a duplicate factory.

Common questions

Answered, directly.

The questions this piece settles about Platform & Architecture, answered in full on this page.

Migrate a create-rule: which sources are allowed, how a person you already have is matched, and who may create a Lead. Salesforce completed the acquisition on 13 August 2025. Do not start the move to fill a conversion cell. This page has no conversion rate, no price, and no shutdown date.

Bluebirds is prospecting. Salesforce owns it after 13 August 2025. It is aimed at Sales Cloud work. This page does not describe a current screen, does not publish a conversion rate, and does not give an end date. The cited page does not publish a price.

A Lead already stores an unqualified person, with name, company, status, owner, and source. A Contact already stores a person on an Account. Converting a Lead can create those records. Prospecting may propose someone new. It must not create a second Lead for a person those objects already hold.

This page does not rank alternatives and has not been shown an AppExchange listing. Ways that sit side by side include keeping your current Lead sources, adding one source under a match rule, integrating only person-accepted records, or evaluating another prospecting tool yourself.

None. This page will not invent a conversion rate. A figure from another company is not yours. Leave the cell blank until you have measured your own pipeline before and after. Do not create duplicate Leads to make a dashboard move.
