Senior Salesforce Developer

Engineering · Remote · Global

Role Overview

You own the engineering craft on SynconAI delivery programs. Working beside a solution architect and consultant, you turn approved designs into maintainable platform code, Lightning experiences, and integrations that hold up after go-live. This is a senior builder role: you are trusted on complex Apex, async patterns, LWC, and production troubleshooting, not ticket farming.

What You'll Work On

  • Multi-cloud Salesforce programs (Sales, Service, Experience, and industry clouds as scoped)
  • Custom Apex services, triggers, and asynchronous processing (Queueable, Batch, Schedulable, Platform Events)
  • Lightning Web Components and Flow where declarative is the right tool
  • REST/SOAP and event-driven integrations with external systems
  • Release pipelines, packaging, and production defect triage

What You'll Do

  • Implement Apex classes, triggers, and domain services that respect bulkification and governor limits.
  • Design and build asynchronous Apex (Queueable, Batch, Schedulable) and Platform Event consumers where sync paths would fail under load.
  • Develop Lightning Web Components with clear separation of concerns, wire adapters, and accessible UI patterns.
  • Write efficient SOQL and SOSL, including selective queries, relationship queries, and safe dynamic query construction.
  • Use Flow for orchestration when it is the maintainable choice, and know when Apex is required instead.
  • Integrate Salesforce via REST/SOAP callouts, Named Credentials, and inbound APIs with retries, idempotency, and error surfaces.
  • Enforce CRUD/FLS, sharing, and security review expectations in code and components.
  • Own Apex and LWC test coverage that proves behavior, not coverage theatre.
  • Participate in Git-based branching, peer review, scratch/org-based development, and CI/CD promotions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with debug logs, event monitoring signals, and disciplined rollback plans.
  • Partner with architects on technical spikes and estimate engineering risk honestly.
  • Leave behind runbooks and handover notes so managed services can operate what you ship.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years building on the Salesforce platform in consulting or product environments.
  • Deep day-to-day fluency in Apex, triggers, async Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, and Flow.
  • Proven delivery on client or production orgs where limits, security, and release discipline mattered.
  • Comfortable explaining trade-offs to architects and non-developers in clear English.
  • Authorized to work remotely in the United States, with New York overlap preferred.

Salesforce Expertise

  • Apex architecture: trigger frameworks, service layers, selector patterns, bulk-safe DML
  • Asynchronous processing and platform events under real governor pressure
  • LWC performance, wire service, LMS, and Lightning design system usage
  • Integration callouts, Named Credentials, OAuth, and API error handling
  • Testing strategy (Apex tests, Jest where used), static analysis, and deployment hygiene
  • Git workflows, unlocked packages or equivalent packaging, and CI/CD promotion paths

Preferred Certifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (required depth; certification strongly preferred)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II
  • JavaScript Developer I

Nice to Have

  • Experience Cloud, Omnistudio, or Lightning Web Runtime exposure
  • MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar middleware on Salesforce programs
  • Agentforce invocable actions or prompt-template engineering support
  • Data 360 / CRM Analytics engineering adjacent work

How We Work

  • Architect-led delivery: solution decisions are reviewed before they become irreversible org debt.
  • Ownership from discovery through production, not hand-offs that strand the next person.
  • Documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer are part of done, not optional extras.
  • You work with multi-shore pods under one architecture standard across USA and Australia hubs.

Location & Working Model

Remote, full-time. Hiring in the United States with New York as the stated base for timezone overlap. Client workshops and release windows may require US East morning availability.

  • Working model: Remote
  • Employment: Full-time
  • Hiring geography: United States (New York metro preferred for overlap)
  • Expect overlap with US East client hours and SynconAI delivery standups.

What Success Looks Like

  • Features ship with tests, security checks, and no surprise governor failures in UAT or production.
  • Peers can extend your code without reverse-engineering tribal knowledge.
  • Production incidents you touch end in a root cause and a lasting fix, not a silent retry.
  • Architects trust your estimates because they match what actually lands in the repo.
